Credits

550

Mathus:

Okay, so hmmm…

Mathus:

We should have ~2000 credits between
us.

Mathus:

I started at 550.

Mathus:

Did I have to pay for that extra
reload I got from the Twi’leks?

Mathus:

Standard price: 25 credits.

Jshock-GM:

I can’t remember when you got that;
you sure it was from the twileks?

Mathus:

Yeah, because that was the first (and
only) chance we’ve had to "buy" gear.

Jshock-GM:

If it was in the main spaceport then
yes, you would have had to pay for it

Mathus:

Okay. I would’ve also had to pay for
other odds & ends I picked up there as well then, I assume.

Jshock-GM:

ayup

Mathus:

Okay. -25 credits for a utility belt,
-50 credits for a backpack…

Jshock-GM:

They had a price cap of 500 credits,
but you’re fine past that

Mathus:

I only had 150 credits on me.

Jshock-GM:

No, I mean you can’t get items worth
ove 500 credits (no buying blaster rifles

Mathus:

Mhm. IIRC, Trex’s ship didn’t have any
spacesuits on it, right?

Jshock-GM:

no

Jshock-GM:

He was wearing a flight suit, but it
was trandoshan shaped

Mathus:

Mhm. You see the Slicer Gear available
for sale?

Foxtrot has connected.

Mathus:

500 credits. Says its the main tool of
slicers to gain access & control of computers.

Mathus:

Does Mathus need those? What advantage
would they give him if he had them?

Foxtrot:

G’morning

Jshock-GM:

(sigh) let me look it up…

Mathus:

Pg.118

Mathus:

Hey Fox.

Mathus:

BTW Fox, which guns are you
dual-wielding? Question came up last time.

Jshock-GM:

Oh, it’s a generic tool; +1b to the
roll

Foxtrot:

Oh sorry, a Heavy and a light
pistol.if I end up doing it.

Jshock-GM:

That’s what we worked out

Foxtrot:

Ah cool

Foxtrot:

If I’m actually gonna go down that
path I should probably put some points into shooting heh

Jshock-GM:

You probably want to pump up your
skillz or add a destiny if you try it

Mathus:

Okay. Hmmm… should Mathus be getting
+1b for doing Mechanics rolls while carrying his Toolbox, then?

Foxtrot:

AH yeah, I was going to only do it in
roleplay situatons wherehe would go "Firepower over accuracy" is
needed anyway, so that gives me an in to up them at a later date

Jshock-GM:

No; you need tools to do the job in
the first place

Mathus:

Okay.

Jshock-GM:

Something like a shop, where you have
all the tools you could possibly need, would add a boost

Mathus:

Or like Trex’s former workshop?

Jshock-GM:

I think they described his toos as
basic

Jshock-GM:

^tools

Jshock-GM:

I’m talking about a stocked garage, or
a starship bay

Jshock-GM:

drydock, I mean

Mathus:

Can we find such a shop amidst the
Twi’lek camp?

Foxtrot:

I’m guessing no by the word ‘camp.’
THe main settlement might have something extensive.

Jshock-GM:

I think i mentioned the last time we
talked they had tools and space so you could do sme weapon mods

Jshock-GM:

I’m not sure about adding a boost,
though

Foxtrot:

Have you gotten any more Xp since that
first time (that I never spent)?

Mathus:

We got 10xp last session.

Foxtrot:

Ah kk

Foxtrot:

I’ll spend it at the end of this
session then.

Foxtrot:

If that’s cool with you Jshock

Jshock-GM:

Fine by me

Jshock-GM:

Let’s see… just noticed the email
stating Xie might be a bit late…

Foxtrot:

Aaaah, yeah I was wondeirng why he
hasn’t popped up on Gmail and Skype and Steam chat

Foxtrot:

ANd he wans’t on Guild Wars 2

Mathus:

Mhm. Do we need to worry about Rations?

Mathus:

Or is food handwaved?

Jshock-GM:

No, don’t really need to worry about
it ATM

Mathus:

Does Trex’s ship have an Emergency
Crash Survival Kit?

Jshock-GM:

good question

Mathus:

Let’s see… a Crash Survival Kit is
300 credits.

Mathus:

A Space Suit is 100 credits.

Mathus:

Breath Masks are 25 credits each.

Mathus:

Glowrod’s 10 credits.

Mathus:

I figure we should get a Crash Kit if
we don’t have one, at least 2 Space Suits, 5 Breath Masks (one per
PC), and a glowrod or two.

Jshock-GM:

It doesn’t have one listed, but that
doesn’t mean it doesn’t

Mathus:

We’ll check the ship for one before we
buy one.

Mathus:

But we definitely need a spacesuit or
two for emergencies. Breath masks for emergencies too.

Jshock-GM:

I would think you need 5 spacesuits,
unless you’re cruel.

Foxtrot:

Hey so I was looking of the forums
posts (making suire I didn’t overspend on XP) and I came across
the that Ventrillo post. Anything happening with that?

Jshock-GM:

I haven’t looked into that. Think I
might save it for the break, look into the feasability of it.

Mathus:

Working up to that, Jshock, unless
every PC’s fine with spending 125 credits immediately on space
suits & breath masks.

Mathus:

I figure for now, 1-2 spacesuits for
emergency repairs is good.

Foxtrot:

Kk

Mathus:

What do you think, Fox?

Mathus:

Concerning what we need for emergency
supplies.

Jshock-GM:

I think space suits are enclosed,
unless you want the breath masks for creeping around large
asteroids?

Foxtrot:

Yeah, that’s an okay plan, as long as
overtime we make sure we fill those gaps.

Mathus:

Very.

Mathus:

The breath masks are for hostile
planetary environments, actually.

Jshock-GM:

right

Mathus:

They’re also much cheaper, hence why
I’d suggest buying 5 of them.

Mathus:

Just in case we need to crawl across a
toxic planet for some reason.

Jshock-GM:

OK, as long as you know what you want

Mathus:

But yeah, buying two spacesuits + 5
breath masks would cost each of us 65 credits. (100 per spacesuit,
25 each for the masks.)

Tygaran has connected.

Foxtrot:

Hiya

Mathus:

Hey Tyg.

Tygaran:

evening

Mathus:

Hey Tyg, you fine with each of us
paying 65 credits for 2 spacesuits & 5 breath masks?

  • Jaana Raeth is down for any survival gear
    purchases…

Mathus:

Okay. There’s also glowrods available
for 10 credits each…

  • Vale is a mad impersonator

Mathus:

And an Emergency Crash Survival Kit
for 300 credits, although our ship might already have one.

Jaana Raeth whispers: and as i
recall we got another 10 xp… picking up the 10x cost talent -
Toughened = +1 Wound

You whisper to Tygaran: kk

Jaana Raeth whispers: I see you
changed the token prop set to no longer display anything on mouseover

You whisper to Tygaran: can you
see yours? You should

Jaana Raeth whispers: nope..
nothing but my name and label

You whisper to Tygaran: hmmm…
how about now?

Foxtrot is disconnected.

Jaana Raeth whispers: nope *
shrug *

Foxtrot has connected.

Foxtrot:

I saw a lot of "is typing" and nothing
coming up after Mathus talking bout 300 creds so I got worried my
chat wasn’t coming through.

You whisper to Tygaran: look
slike I forgot to commit some stat changes

Mathus:

Hrm. I don’t think you were.

You whisper to Tygaran: try it
now

Jshock-GM:

Are you guys on New Meen? Can you see
your stats?

Tygaran:

new meen, night.. and no

Vale:

I don’t have any stats, unless you
mean the macros you click on for weapon damage and the like.

Mathus:

Ah, strange. I can’t see my stats
either.

Jshock-GM:

No, the rollover sheet

Jshock-GM:

I’ve got the stats set to owner visible

Mathus:

…Weird, I can’t even move my token.

Vale:

Were visible stats something we’vge
always had or is that new? Cuz I ahven’t htis whole time.

Jshock-GM:

I’ve had them, I though I had everyone
set upp so they can see them

Tygaran:

and last session we commented that we
could see the bare bones one of NPC’s… so I assumed he was
changing things up…

Jshock-GM:

Yeah, I had stats visible, but they
were visible to everyone

Jshock-GM:

Let me save and restart

Vale:

kk

You have disconnected.

Server started; please wait for map to
refresh.

Tygaran has connected.

Tygaran:

one way to solve that is to have two
identical sets, one for PC and one for NPC’s. All the same
variabes but different visibility

Foxtrot has connected.

Jshock-GM:

A bit late for that ATM

Jshock-GM:

ANy luk?

Vale:

Where would they show up if it were
working?

Vale:

Just as another window/box?

Jshock-GM:

you roll over the token and the stats
pop up

Vale:

Oh then nope not for me.

Tygaran:

usually in the lower left corenr when
you mouse over your token.. next to th eportrait

JeffG has connected.

Jshock-GM:

Well, I don’t really mind showing off
NPC stats… I’ll change it back

Mathus:

Janna, you want a Telescopic Optical
Sight on your blaster rifle?

Mathus:

(250 creds, reduces difficulty of
Long/Extreme shots by 1.)

Vale:

Lol Mathus is going shopping

Jaana Raeth:

a girl’s got to accessorize…

Jshock-GM:

Why don’t we make rolls for that now

Mathus:

Sure.

Mathus:

What rolls do we need to find this
stuff?

Mathus:

Also, should I make that Computer
check for the land rights hack now?

Mathus: (( Hmm, if we’re going to start making
rolls, we should probably roll Force first… ))

Jshock-GM:

Yeah, make the computer check now…
we’ll assume Drombb had some spare dohickeys that you were able to
rebuild (at an appropriate cost)

Jshock-GM:

So they’re not just attachments,
they’re custom made, hand built attachments

Jshock-GM:

(in other words they look like 40k ork
equipment)

Mathus:

…Heh.

Mathus:

Okay, first, mind if we 3 make Destiny
rolls?

Mathus:

Some extra points might be nice for
this stuff…

Mathus:

makes a Destiny check!

Successes:  None  /  No
Advantage or Threat

Light Side : 0 / Dark Side: 1

Jaana Raeth:

makes a Not this crude matter check!

Successes:  None  /  No
Advantage or Threat

Light Side : 2 / Dark Side: 0

Vale:

makes a May da wiergit nonsense be wiv ya check!

Successes:  None  /  No
Advantage or Threat

Light Side : 1 / Dark Side: 0

  • Jaana Raeth smiles

Mathus:

Nice. You guys want me to use 1
Destiny on the Computers check?

Jshock-GM:

Should I just roll for the wookiee?
Can we make that assumption?

Mathus:

The wookie & Taliq?

Jshock-GM:

Yeah, i’ll roll for xie too

Jshock-GM:

makes a Taliq’s meditation check!

Successes:  None  /  No
Advantage or Threat

Light Side : 0 / Dark Side: 1

Jshock-GM:

makes a HRRR GROWW FROOOO check!

Successes:  None  /  No
Advantage or Threat

Light Side : 2 / Dark Side: 0

Mathus:

Nice. You guys want me to use 1
Destiny on the Computers check?

Mathus:

That’ll bump me from a 2/4 to a 3/4 vs
4d.

Jshock-GM:

Neat, I don’t have to change anything

Jshock-GM:

As your GM, I would recommend it.

Mathus:

Mathus:

Due to the lack of "nos", I’ll spend a
Destiny on it.

Jshock-GM:

Seriously. I’m not spending, but it
does sqing the odds in your favor

Mathus:

Alright, rolling.

Mathus:

makes a Computers check!

Successes:  2  /  Threat: 1
Triumph:
1

Vale: (( whoa triumph ))

Jshock-GM:

Hee. How are you spending that triumph?

Mathus:

Let’s see, hmm…

Jshock-GM:

That’s a story change, if you want

Mathus:

Oh? What can I do with a story change?

Mathus:

My original idea was to find other
properties Droomb owns and put them up for sale, then funnel the
credits from the sale to the twi’leks… while skimming a bit off
the top for ourselves.

Jshock-GM:

I think it’s listed somewher in the
beta… basically you can declare something to be true. IE "I’m
really glad we bought that hydrospanner set last time we were in
port!" You now have a set of yhdrospanners

Jshock-GM:

I’ll tone it down if I think it’s too
powerful, but past that…

Mathus:

Mhm, how about that? We do a great
favor for the twi’leks, and get a few extra credits ourself.

Mathus:

Or maybe he has a spare ship we can
put under our name?

Jshock-GM:

Spare ship? No way.

Mathus:

Replacement ship.
Since everyone seems to assume Trex’s ship is still bugged.

Jshock-GM:

Extra dosh is OK though. Hmm…

Jshock-GM:

We’ll say you get an extra 2k after
you liquidate his holdings. Viva la revolution!

The Force:

DECREASE THE FORCE

The Dark Side:

INCREASE THE FORCE

Mathus:

Does Droomb break down weeping after
we tell him what we did?

Jshock-GM:

That man is broken.

Mathus:

Alright. Looks like everyone gets +800
credits instead of +400 credits, then.

Jshock-GM:

Though you also generated threat…

Jshock-GM:

Meh, another intense slicejob. You’re
down 1 strain at the start of the next encounter

Mathus:

Okay.

Mathus:

Then let’s see… a Telescopic Sight
for Jaana’s rifle is Rarity 1; shouldn’t be a problem to find the
parts here, I think…

Mathus:

Unless there’s a positive modifier for
how ill-equipped / out-of-the-way this planet is.

Jshock-GM:

No, as I said, you can find
everything, but you still have to pay to represent time /
resources spent

Mathus:

Okay.

Jshock-GM:

Also, I’m seeing mention of XP being
spent for this stuff

Mathus:

For weapon modifications?

Jshock-GM:

1st column, 4th paragraph, on
attachments

Jshock-GM:

"The player spends his XP and money on
the new attachment…"

Jshock-GM:

I don’t see how much Xp anywhere though

Mathus:

I haven’t seen any XP costs. The
credit cost for modifying an attachment is 100 credits, +100
credits per additional modificaton.

Mathus:

Yeah, neither have I.

Mathus:

Just go with the credit cost, then?

Jshock-GM:

No, let me read a sec

Vale: (( WIth the shitty weekend as it was I
have forgotten to read the log of last week, so I’m quickly doing that
now while we play
))

Mathus:

Tyg, Fox, you guys mind if I spend
another Destiny on this modification?

Vale: (( if you feel it is worth it sure,
just remember then the fire starts….
))

Mathus:

If it succeeds, Jaana gets one reroll
per session while using the Rifle.

Vale:

Oh nice

Jshock-GM:

Hmm. The beta update doesn’t add any
clarification, other than you need something off the mechanic
talent tree to do the mods. So I think base attachments are just a
roll.

Mathus:

Okay.

Mathus:

Spending a Destiny and making the roll
vs 3d.

Mathus:

Can I get a boost from using a proper
workshop here?

Jshock-GM:

where are you getting 3d?

Jshock-GM:

And no, you can’t get a boost

Mathus:

Modding Attachments: Installing Mods.
Pg.122

Jshock-GM:

this is just an attachment, not a mod

Mathus:

Ah, I was going to install the
attachment (no roll required, looks like) then mod it.

Jshock-GM:

Ok; hold off on making the mod. I have
a hunch those cost XP.

Jshock-GM:

They replicate talents

Jshock-GM:

Basically turns your gear into its own
mini tree, if I’m reading correctly

Jshock-GM:

But you can definitely put together a
scope and slap it up on the gun rails

Mathus:

Alright. Does it cost the base price
of the attachment for the spare parts needed to jurryrig it into
something useful?

Jshock-GM:

yes.

Mathus:

Alright. Tyg, the Telescopic Scope
will cost Jaana 250 credits.

Mathus:

Out of the 800 we’ve gotten from this
job.

Jaana Raeth:

kk

Jaana Raeth:

and what’s it do again? reduce long
range difficulty?

Mathus:

Yeah. It reduces the difficulty of
Long-range shots from 3 to 2.

Jaana Raeth:

Weapon

Skill

Max Range

Dmg

Dice

Heavy Bladter Rifle

R (Hvy)

Long (2d)

11

• You deal 11 dmg on a hit, +1 dmg for each extra
rolled.
• Inflict a critical injury on a hit for

• Pierce 1 – Ignores 1 point of Soak

Jaana Raeth: (( updated… ))

Mathus:

Alright, the other modifications are
for Xie’s character, so since he isn’t here… think I’m done
mechanicing for now.

Mathus:

Although turning the dozers into
improvised tanks / armored vehicles for the twi’leks might be
interesting…

Vale: (( Jshock, Xie sent me a screenshot of
the session last week. good work onthe skidmarks
))

Jshock-GM:

They can take care of that. It sucks
that no one else has shown up; do you guys want to play without
the other two?

Vale: (( hmmm did Xie say how late he’d be
or just that he might? I understand the Wook keeps crazy hours right? ))

Jshock-GM:

Yeah, the wookiee I’m not too worried
about, but Xie said he might be "a tiny bit late".

Jshock-GM:

sort of weird he’s not even on

Jshock-GM:

Oh wait, he’s totally on

Jaana Raeth:

wookie is a lawyer in real life…
graduated within the past year so wonky hours…

Vale:

Aaah that makes sense!

Vale:

I’m totally picturing a wookie as a
lawyer now.

Jshock-GM:

He said he just went 1st year, right?

Mathus:

Drookie.

Jshock-GM:

Just a wookie with a tie, briefcase,
glasses…

Jshock-GM:

Harvey drookie: attorney at law

Vale:

XD

Jshock-GM:

I’m only hesitant to start because
there’s some heavy RP coming up

Mathus:

Mhm. Wait a bit longer for Xie then?

Mathus:

I could spare 15 minutes to run to the
store.

Jshock-GM:

Let’s give it til 10, if you can wait
that long

Jshock-GM:

15’s fine

Vale: (( I can wait as long as you guys
like, I’m on no time limit
Goes without saying though…though I did just say it soooo ))

Jshock-GM:

You sure you want to wait until the
end of this session to spend those points FT?

Jshock-GM:

Oh wait; if you want to up your guns,
you’ll have to wait. I’s not class for you

Vale:

Yeah

Jshock-GM:

somehow I thought it was

Vale:

I think light weapons are bolded thugh

Jshock-GM:

it’s gunnery

Mathus:

Oh yeah, i can. Off to the store.

Jshock-GM:

Which makes sense (you’re a pilot
first)

Vale:

Yeah true

Vale:

There’s a few things I want to up
though, Got RP is hard

Jshock-GM:

Xie’s jumping on

Vale:

Neato

Vale:

I’m still going through the log, got
distracted by warm tea

Jshock-GM:

…now we neen JEffg back…

Xie has connected.

Xie:

Hey guys, I’m sorry

Jshock-GM:

Hey, good news bad news.

Xie:

OK

Jshock-GM:

Good news: you’re here!

Xie:

bad news my character is dead

Jshock-GM:

Bad news: Jeffg is making a munchies
run.

Xie:

Hahahaha

Jshock-GM:

Good news: he wants to mod your gun.

Jshock-GM:

Bad news: he is not here to mod your
gun.

Xie:

Sweet, I’ll text him to bring me back
some oreos and mountain dew

Jshock-GM:

I need cheetos myself

Xie:

YES!! I would 3 to have my gun modded

Jshock-GM:

CVue dead alewives

Xie:

(Cheetos = Twisties, for those of us
who are Australian )

Xie:

(Though I think we have cheetos too
anyway? )

Vale:

AW MAN

Vale:

I WAS TWISTIES

Xie:

OMG they’re so good

Vale:

ALSO

Vale:

THEY ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT

Vale:

We have cheetos here

Xie:

Are they

Jshock-GM:

I never actually buy cheetos; always
end up getting generics

Xie:

Yeah I think twisties are better

Xie:

They’re bigger, yeah?

Vale:

Well not toally different they are
still paper cheese bickies

Xie:

XD

Xie:

So we’re chilling out in town doing
downtime stuff?

Jshock-GM:

yeah

Xie:

Coo

Xie:

So I started reading the modding
equipment rules, but didn’t finish

Jshock-GM:

Speaking of which: Nyn would have
called in at some point wanting an update…

Xie:

What’s the downlow on modding mah gun?

Vale: (( ooooh yeah. ))

  • Taliq lets our resident dissident liason
    take the cal…

Vale: (( me? ))

Taliq: (( Yeah, that’s you XD ))

Jshock-GM:

Here’s what I sussed out: The initial
attachment (scope, barrel, whatever) just costs credits and
generally installs with Mechanics. <u>modding</u> the attachment
costs more credits, another mechanics, and possibly xp.

Vale: (( Lol yeaaaah, okay, I’ll report to
Nyn ))

Jshock-GM:

What do you tell her, exactly?

Taliq: (( Oh I see… ))

Taliq: (( I guess I should take a peek at
the available mods then. Stabilisers or extendible stock maybe ))

Taliq: (( Or… underslung grenade launcher?
XD ))

Jshock-GM:

I saw that, and thought of you

Jshock-GM:

Jeffg said he had something in mind.

Xie:

Oh, OK XD

Xie:

Well Mathus will be doing the work, so
totally open to suggestions

Xie:

(Though obviously, I assume, any
XP/credit cost will be paid by yours truly)

Jshock-GM:

yeah, he made Jaana pay for her scope

Mathus: (( Back. ))

Vale:

"Nyn, this is Arqen Vale reporting
from New Meen. Sadly, the escort mission was a failure, and B’ura
B’an did not make it. We saw his body the rest of the way however,
and met up with the locals. They were having problems with a
developer destroying their camp, and we dealt with them. The
Developer, not the locals. awkward joke

Jshock-GM: (( I’m just going to get her pog
on the map ))

Mathus:

Oh, and I’m not going to make any
attachment modifications until we determine whether it costs XP or
not. I figured it didn’t cost XP because I didn’t see any
indication it did, those perks only work for that weapon, and
each additional modification requires a harder Mechanics check…
and you can’t retry if it fails.

Nyn:

"…I’m sorry to hear that…"

sounds of sobbing

Xie: (( She was totally his lover ))

Xie:

And if it does cost XP I may be
totally happy to cover it, depending on how awesome the mod is

Nyn:

"…these things happen, I suppose. Come
back when you are ready; a friend of mine has something he wants
to discuss with you."

Xie:

Aw man… we totally shouldn’t have
let that guy die

Vale:

I am too. The locals seemed to respect
him, and we helped them so hopefully his death wasn’t a waste.

Jshock-GM:

It’s not clear to me if mods actually
cost XP, though… my speculation is based on a paragraph were
they mention paying XP, but there’s no listed costs on anything

Xie:

Hmmm…. weird

Xie:

Oh, is the talent the XP cost?

Xie:

Like does each time you take the
talent give you one mod?

Xie:

It does on the bounty hunter tree…

Jshock-GM:

Ahh…

Xie:

No wait, that’s jury-rigging

Jshock-GM:

oh

Xie:

Not installing scopes etc

Jshock-GM:

Still, you mioght be on to something

Mathus:

Yeah, jury-rigging is a whole ’nother
ballgame.

Xie:

Right

Xie:

A whole different hand of sabak

Mathus:

I believe the modifications are a
reward for having a Mechanic on the team.

Mathus:

As installing each additional one is a
harder Mechanics check… and failing it means you can never
install it.

Xie:

Two mechanics! (Taliq has… like one
rank )

Xie:

(… make that zero ranks… But its a
career skill)

Mathus:

Ah well, first off, we each got 800
credits instead of 400, thanks to a little shady real estate deal.

Mathus:

Second, Xie, you mind chipping in 65
credits for 2 spacesuits & a breather mask?

Xie:

NICE!

Jshock-GM:

Anyway, we’ll wait on mods for now.
What attachment were you going to suggest for Taliq’s gun?

Xie:

Sure, that sounds like a reasonable
business expense

Mathus:

Forearm Grip. I think J recommended it.

Mathus:

Decreases difficulty of firing in
melee… but the kicker is the mods I can make to it.

Mathus:

+1 boost to shots, and an extra Point
Blank rank.

Xie:

Make it a pistol grip so I can fire it
with one hand like a badass! JK

Xie:

Wait WHAT?!

Xie:

That’s freakin’ awesome!!!

Xie:

XD

Xie:

+1 boost to shots into melee? Or at
"point blank" range?

Mathus:

Yeah, the trick is it takes a 3d
Mechanics & 4d Mechanics roll to install them, respectively.

Mathus:

+1 boost to shots period.

Mathus:

Accuracy +1, which adds a boost per
Accuracy rank.

Jshock-GM:

Heh, there’s a bit of meta there;
which do you try to install first?

Mathus:

The extra Point Blank rank means you
do an extra damage at Close Range, in addition to your existing
Point Blank shots.

Xie:

Oh I see…

Xie:

Oh wow! THat’s neat

Mathus:

In other words, a good Mechanic in the
party makes everyone’s guns more awesome, once we have the
credits to mod them.

Xie:

So a free talent, and a free boost
dice… SWEET

Jshock-GM:

Not to start, though

Vale:

So you need the talents already and
these upgrades make the talents better?

Xie:

Hmmm… sadly with my terrible Int and
zero ranks I can’t exactly assist

Mathus:

No, the way I read it, you don’t need
the talents period.

Mathus:

They’re "extra talents" you only get
while wielding that particular weapon.

Jshock-GM:

Yeah, they count as a rank in the
talent

Xie:

Right

Xie:

I meant effectively

Jshock-GM:

The problem I’m seeing is if it’s only
credits and skill to install a mod, the credits are inconsequential

Jshock-GM:

100 is nothing

Mathus:

It increases by 100 for each
additional mod.

Xie:

Right…

Jshock-GM:

hmm

Xie:

I guess its the difficulty then

Mathus:

So when you get to attachments that
can be modded 4-5 times… it adds up eventually.

Mathus:

Also, you only get one shot at
modifying it.

Xie:

It’s just another way to scale power
with "level"

Mathus:

You fail that, you can never mod that
attachment like that.

Xie:

Because generally you’ll have a
mechanic around

Xie:

But if they’re an especially good
mechanic you can be a bit ahead of the curve, so to speak

Jshock-GM:

Well, anyway, let me search around the
forums before we get to that; I’ll come with some kind of answer
by next week

Jshock-GM:

For now, I’ll recap

Jshock-GM:

SESSION RECAP

When we last left off, our heroes had begin
infiltrating the DROMBB compount to discover what they
were really up to. TALIQ and JAANA attempted to sneak in
to the building, while VALE and MATHUS tried to bluff
their way past the construction workers loitering around
the front entrance! Things did not go smoothly; the
scoundrel and the mechanic were jeered away, while the
bounty huinter and the tracker set off an alarm, alerting
the occupants!

Not surprisingly, a fight ensued.
The workers out front were quickly eradicated… only to
be replaced by another group from inside the cantina!
While most of the party dealt with the workers, JAANA
busied herself by hunting ANGU DROMBB himself! He wiely
tried to flee, but was stunned in the back, ending the
conflict.

Back at NEW MEEN, the group spent some
time mourning the loss of their frien B’URA B’AN.
afterwards, the group spent some time in the camp, resting
up for their next encounter…

Mathus: (( Yeah, still can’t move my token. Or
see stats. ))

  • Mathus replays the recordings he salvaged
off Drombb’s computer for Garos and the others. (Mind recapping those?)

Jshock-GM:

I don’t really have them handy to copy
paste

  • Mathus will get them.

  • Jshock-GM:

I could do a text dump from the chat
    log

    Mathus:

    Angu Drombb: "Yeah, risky business…
I’m amazed Trex got away with that droid tech, personally." Angu
Drombb: "Yeah, you never know with those kriffin’ bugs – you know,
with all their castes? Annoy the wrong one, the whole thing falls
down on our heads." Taliq: (( That make any sense? )) Angu Drombb:
"I thought it was all going to fall through when we lost Duke
Piddock, myself – but this Dimmock, he might be the one for us…"

    Mathus:

    MESSAGE 2

    Mathus:

Angu Drombb: "Heh – decapitated, huh?
Make kriffing sure none of them hear about THAT!" Angu Drombb:
"Oh, yeah, total hypocrites – they’re more than willing to kill
off their drones in their games at the drop of a hat, but the
minute you kill one of them, the whole deal’s off!" Tygaran:
geonotion? (sp?) Angu Drombb: ‘Make kriffing sure they never hear
what happened to Sivor, then – it’d be all over!"

    Mathus:

"So… apparently Trex got some droid
tech… there’s references to Duke Piddock, Dimmock, and Sivor as
well. Any of those names ring a bell?"

    Jshock-GM:

Are you asking the party, Mathus?

    • Vale shrugs.

Vale: (( unless ma super secret mercenary
    knowledge has anything ))

    Jshock-GM:

That doesn’t mean anythign to anyone
    without Astrogation (3d).

    Mathus:

    The party and Garos.

    Garos:

    • Garos is bur a poor miner in a poor mining
      village, so he simply shrugs.

    Vale: (( I’ll give the Astro a chance ))

    • Vale thinks for a moment.

    Vale:

    makes a Hmmm check!

    Successes:  None  /  Threat:
    1

    Jshock-GM:

Also: I sfound the actual assist
rulse, so you might want to use those

    Vale:

    Nope nothing, not a clue.

Xie: (( HAHAHAH you get a headache from the
    threat :# ))

    Mathus:

Someone want to assist me with an
    Astro?

    Xie:

    I got nuthin

Vale: (( KRONK NO LINK. THINKING HURT KRONK
    ))

    Jshock-GM:

You can use one person’s stat and
another’s skill; in this case, every person beyond that adds a
    boost.

Vale: (( Oh many I shoulda assisted
    ))

    • Jaana Raeth has no astro skill, just 3 Int

    Mathus:

Well, if anyone has ranks in
    Astrogation, they can boost me.

    • Taliq also, but only 2 int derp

  • Mathus will just roll straight then.

  • Mathus:

    makes a Astro check!

    Successes:  1  /  Advantage:
    1

    Mathus: (( Nice. ))

    Jshock-GM:

Ok; you’ve heard Piddock and Dimmock
dropped somewhere. They’re both high ranking dukes from Geonosis

    Mathus:

"Piddock and Dimmock… oh, I remember
    now. Geonosis."

Mathus: (( That’s the bugs’ home planet, right?
    ))

    Jshock-GM:

They’re also rivals of some sort

    Jshock-GM:

    yes

    Mathus:

    "Rivals."

    Taliq:

    "Droids… I hate droids…"

    Mathus:

"Sounds like Teemo’s men fell out of
favor with one, allied with the other, and are scared they’ll
    learn about a third’s assassination?"

    • Mathus frowns, pondering.

Jshock-GM: (( …why did it have to be
    droids… ))

    Taliq:

"Any enemy of Teemo’s could be a
    friend of ours."

    Vale:

"So, we’re not getting caught up in
    something are we?"

    Vale:

"Cuz it sounds like we’re getting
    caught up in something."

    Taliq:

    "We’re already caught up in
    something," Taliq says grinning

    Mathus:

"We were caught up in something before
    you even met us…"

    Jaana Raeth:

"I just want to find a nice,
‘primitive’ fonrtier world to get lsot in…"

    Vale:

"I just want creds, creds that isn’t
attached to my death, but failing, middle of nowhere is good too.

    Taliq:

    "Geonosis ain’t exactly a core
    world…"

    Mathus:

"Teemo’s not going to stop hunting any
of us, you know that right?"

    • Mathus glances at Jaana.

    Jaana Raeth:

"He has to find me first. And
primitive, off the charts, worlds still exist."

    Vale:

"He doesn’t know who I am."

Vale: (( SO LONG SUCKAAAS" ))

    Taliq: (( XD ))

    Mathus:

"He might after this… seems like
    Teemo was funding Drommb."

You whisper to Foxtrot: I laugh
    because it makes sense

Foxtrot says to the GMs: XD party dynamics are always fun

    Mathus:

"Not just anyone talks to Thweek… or
    talks about Geonosis politics."

    Nyn:

    • Nyn is waiting for you to come back to Nabat…

Mathus: (( We go, then? ))

    Mathus: (( I assume we’ve spent a few days
resting up here, hacking computers, doing mechanics, etc? ))

    Taliq:

"There’s only one way to win a game of
    cheeb and lossor…"

    Taliq:

    "Don’t be the lossor…"

    Mathus:

    "What’s a lossor?"

    Vale:

    "…"

    Jshock-GM: (( what IS a lossor? ))

    Jshock-GM: (( what’s a cheeb, for that
    matter? ))

Taliq: (( Some obscure animal from the EU XD
    ))

Mathus: (( "How does this kid from Tattoine know
snippets of Geonesian politics but not what a lossor is? ))

Vale: (( Everything is obscure from the Eu,
perrils (and advantages) of a trillion writers
    ))

Taliq: (( Hang on, I’ll try again ))

Jshock-GM: (( he hung around the docking
bays and cantinas, listening to the tales of spacers ))

    Taliq:

"There’s only one way to win a game of
    wampa and tonton…"

    Taliq:

    "Don’t be the tonton"

    Taliq: (( :3 ))

    Vale:

    "They are warm though."

    Mathus:

    "What’s a wampa?"

    Jshock-GM: (( I actually like cheeb and
lossor better, now that I’ve looked it up ))

    Taliq:

"There’s only one way to win a game of
    gundark and… womp rat?" XD

    Mathus:

"Oh, you mean a game of tuskan and
    jawa."

Taliq: (( There’s only one way to win a game
of Clone Trooper and Jedi… ))

    Taliq: (( HAHAHAA ))

    Vale:

"No he means a game of Sand Panther
    and Twilek slave

    Taliq:

"… yes, thank you, I think we get
    the point," Taliq laughs

    Jaana Raeth:

"WHy not just say ‘cat and mouse’ like
    a normal person?"

    Mathus:

    "Anyway, uh… something to think
    about."

    • Mathus sighs, closes the recordings.

    Vale: (( I shoulda said Lylek ))

    Mathus:

    "Oh, and Garos, we transferred
Drommb’s land rights to you. Your rebellion should also be
getting a hefty gift of credits… courtesy of some Drommb land
    sales."

Vale: (( and if I wanted to be really
obscure about Twilek lore, it shulda been ’Twilek politicians ))

from the tent they are using as a prison cell, you hear a
    whispered "noooooo…."

    Taliq:

"That was awfully kind of you, Drommb!"

    • Vale walks over to the tent to investigate

  • Mathus grins, just a bit.

  • sobbing from the tent

    Vale:

    "Ughh"

    • Vale pokes his head in

    Angu Drombb:

    "They sold <u>everything</u>!"

    Angu Drombb:

    "I’m a pauper…"

    Taliq:

    "No, you’re an INVESTOR!"

    Angu Drombb:

    • Angu Drombb curls up into a ball, doesn’t
      respond

    Taliq:

"Buyers remorse… He’ll get over it."

    • Mathus chuckles softly.

  • Vale places a cred chip next to him.

  • Vale:

"you can pay me abck when you’re abck
    on your feet."

Vale: (( Typing is excellent today ))

    Taliq: (( Troll XD ))

Unknown command: "oooc I’ve got it bad too". Try /help
    for a list of commands.

    Mathus:

"So… let’s return to the spaceport?"

    • Mathus frowns.

    Jshock-GM: (( I’ve got it bad too ))

    Mathus:

"I’ll want to double-check our ship
before we leave… again… sure there’s a spy somewhere amidst
    them."

    • Mathus frowns.

    Mathus:

"Having a hard time figuring out how
else they could’ve figured out where we were going before we left."

    Taliq:

"Yes… a rolling stone gathers no
chlovi… Should we make a wroshyr and leave?"

the party leaves for Nabat amidst cheering twi’leks, forever
    grateful

    • Taliq gives the militia one last encouraging
      salute before heading off

Jshock-GM: (( did you giys ever fix the
    crawler? ))

Mathus: (( I assume so? Want me to roll a
    Mechanics check for that? ))

    Player "sure" is not connected.

    Jshock-GM: (( sure; we’ll call it average
    (2d) ))

    Mathus:

    makes a Mech check!

    Successes:  4  /  Advantage:
    1

You arrive in Nabat towrds sunset. The spaceport is busy; it seems
a number of craft have arrived today. You see groups of twi’leks,
humans, trandoshans, bothans, duros, and even some exotic species all
hustling about the spaceport selling goods, negotiating and otherwise
    conducting business.

    • Jaana Raeth keeps an eye out for sneaky
      kubaz… lousy informants…

Jshock-GM: (( cutting and pasting; perhaps
it will resolve a couple of problems… ))

Vale: (( is this the settlement we came from
    when we met Nyn? ))

    Mathus: (( Map’s not visible, methinks. ))

    Jshock-GM:

    Jaana, give me Perception (3d)

Taliq: (( Perception check to reveal the map
    ))

    Jshock-GM:

Well, at least you can move

    Tygaran:

    ))

Taliq: (( Taliq waves goodbye to Vale :3 ))

You find your way back to Nyn’s apartments; Vale knows the
passwords to get back in. Nyn is waiting for you.

    Taliq:

Taliq is healed and gains back 21
    wounds.
Taliq is healed and gains back 7 strain.

    Vale:

    "We’ve returned."

    Nyn:

"I’m glad you made back here without
    harm."

    Vale:

    inward seepish thoughts

    Vale:

    *sheepish…

    • Mathus frowns and nods.

    Nyn:

"Please, tell me exactly what happened
out there. I need to know."

    Taliq: (( Not it ))

    • Vale looks at his comrades.

  • Mathus ahems, glances at the others, steps
    forward.

  • Mathus:

"Teemo sent 5 bounty hunters after us.
    And an armed landspeeder."

Vale: (( I nearly said soimething, btut if
    you’re stepping forward I’l lwait ))

    Mathus: (( It was 5, right? Not 6? ))

    Jshock-GM: (( 5 ))

    • Jaana Raeth opens her mouth to say Mathus
left Baru behind, but thinks better of saying it aloud

    Taliq: (( lol Jaana ))

Mathus: (( Ugh, you ever going to drop that? ))

Vale: (( SNap crackle and pop! ))

Vale: (( oh irght none of yo uare australian
    ))

    Jshock-GM:

    That a rice krispies reference?

    Vale:

?ooc Rice bubbles here but Xie tells
    me they are the same

Taliq: (( "Rice Bubbles" in Australia, but
    yeah same difference
    ))

    • Jshock-GM wonders why they changed them to
      rice bubbles…

    Vale:

"We took fire from the mercenaries, as
we ran into a cave for shelter, he was hit from behind. We tried
to cover each other but it fell apart at the end. It was a mess.
Speeder was pushing us right back. ALl over so quickly."

    • Mathus nods.

    Nyn:

    "Storms take him, the fool…!"

    Mathus:

    "Hm?"

    • Mathus glances at Nyn.

    Nyn:

    • Nyn pinches the bridge of her nose

Vale: (( Dunno, we probably had Rice Bubbles
way back when, and then they were bought by whatever AMerican company
owns it, and it was jsut easier to change the produce than rename it. I
    dunno. ))

    Nyn:

"…I don’t blame you. The way he lived,
it was bound to happen, one way or another."

    Mathus:

    "…Honestly, us escaping from Teemo
and stealing his bounty ship and the bounty didn’t help."

    • Mathus ahems.

    Mathus:

"The bounty hunters were sent by
Thweek, Teemo’s head spy. Thweek was also in contact with Drommb."

    Nyn:

    • Nyn frowns

    Taliq:

"I’m sorry for your loss. He was a
    great man."

    Mathus:

"Somehow they knew where we were going
    and got there before us."

    Nyn:

    • Nyn waves her lekku in frustration

    Mathus: (( lekku? ))

    Nyn:

"We need to meet someone, at the Ryll
Fine. HE wanted to meet you all personally."

    Nyn:

    ’Come with me."

    • Mathus frowns.

    Mathus:

"The Ryll Fine? That’s where Thweek
was waiting for the bounty hunters."

    Nyn:

    • Nyn walks out, where a speeder is waiting
    • Mathus follows.

  • Jaana Raeth checks to ensure her gun is
    fully energized…

  • Taliq: (( Lekku are the twilek flesh dreads,
they’re used as an extra form of communication, like body language I
    guess ))

    Vale:

    "Of course.

    • Mathus still has the Heavy Blaster on him.

    Nyn:

"Leave your weapons, please. It’s not
    this Thweek, if that’s your concern. He’s an information broker;
he said you might be able to help each other out."

    • Vale does as he’s told and places his
pistols down, trusting they will be safe there."

    Taliq:

"Sorry, my policy is to always take my
    weapons…"

    • Mathus puts away the blaster, but keeps the
      shock gloves in his pocket.

    Nyn:

"Suit yourself. He might take it
    personally, though."

    • Jaana Raeth sighs, and leaves her weapons
      behind

  • Taliq looks uncertain, and glances at the
    others

  • Vale nods to Taliq

  • Lowurra:

    • Lowurra looks equally concerned (you think)

Taliq: (( Note to self: purchase a holdout
carbine at some point :3 ))

    Vale:

    We’re safe here.

    • Taliq nods, and reluctantly unclips her
      carbine

Foxtrot says to the GMs: taking some liberties about putting trust in my
    employers :P

    Lowurra:

    GRRRRF (could be a trap…)

    Taliq:

    "I’ve still got these guns!"

Foxtrot says to the GMs: Im not a great merc, clearly.

    • Taliq does a muscle pose

    Lowurra:

    • Lowurra eventually goes with the group, leaves
      his vibroaxe

Nyn’s chauffer weaves you through the city. You quickly are
ushered into a smoky back room of the Ryll Fine cantina, where a bothan
    is waiting…

    Ota:

"Ah. Good to see you all in one piece; I
was told you saw some action out towards the mines."

Taliq: (( oh… of COURSE its a bothan XD ))

    Ota:

    • Ota keeps eyeing Taliq’s carbine uneasily…

Taliq: (( I left my carbine behind ))

Jshock-GM: (( oh, sorry, ignore that then ))

    Taliq: (( np lol ))

    Ota:

"Allow me to introduce myself.Call me
    Ota. My business is information."

Taliq: (( To be fair I only said I "unclip"
it, not that I left it behind, but that’s what I meant
    ))

    Ota:

"Before we begin, allow me to show you
    something…"

Taliq: (( So long as not too many bothans
died to bring it to us ))

Ota pulls a holo emitter out of his jacket and activates it. You
see grainy images of each of your faces, and shots of your fight with
    the stormtroopers

    • Mathus frowns as he watches it.

Vale: (( XD like I said, See ya guys
    ))

  • Taliq shifts a little uneasily

  • The images loop. A scroll along the bottom reads WANTED: 50,000
credit reward! For more information, contact Teemo, Mos Shuuta, Tattooine

  • Mathus whistles.

  • Mathus:

    "Fifty thousand credits?"

    Ota:

    "I caught this on a bounty hunter’s
channel. Seems Teemo wants a pretty chip for your heads."

Vale: (( 50 thou, should get me a new ship
    ))

    Mathus:

"Fifty thousand for all of us, or
    fifty thousand each?"

    Taliq:

    "We’re worth more than that"

    • Taliq scowls

    Ota:

"For all of you. That’s big money. The
kind that attracts the big names; Bossk, maybe even the
    Mandalorian…"

    • Jaana Raeth sighs

    Vale:

"Anything on the channels about a
dashing pilot, jsut earing a bit of cred?

    • Taliq chuckles

    Taliq:

"Stick with us, there will be soon
    enough."

    Mathus:

"You know, for that kind of money
Teemo could’ve hired a mechanic that actually knew something
about droid schematics instead of trying to cut corners."

    Ota:

"Vale, isn’t it? Nothing directly, but
your friends are worth quite a bit. You could easily get caught in
    the crossfire."

    • Vale eyes of the Bothan.

    Vale:

"So, you’ve just freely given them
this heads up, what’s in it for you?

    Mathus:

    "We kind of suspected it."

    Ota:

"This is what’s in it for me. I’ve been
invited to a party, of sorts; a meeting at the palace of Piddock,
    a geonosian duke."

    Ota:

"I’m not expected directly, but I am
expected to send some envoys. I want to send you in my stead."

    • Mathus raises an eyebrow.

    Vale:

    "There it is."

    Mathus:

    "Piddock?"

    Ota:

    "You’ve heard the name?"

    Mathus:

    "Related to Teemo, yes."

    Jaana Raeth:

    "A certain annyoing landowner had
    dealings.. sorta…"

    Ota:

    • Ota /me nods while swirling his drink

    Mathus:

    "Knew of dealings. Probably was
    involved."

    Mathus:

"Why do you want to send us?"

    Ota:

"You sound like you can handle
yourselves. Plus you’re available. Plus you’re desperate."

    Vale:

"Not to be ungrateful, but I’m not on
those. Perhaps you can sling some creds my way and I’ll go along
    for the job?"

    Mathus:

"…Let me rephrase that: why do you
want to send a bunch of desperate gunslingers to a noble event?"

    • Jaana Raeth frowns slightly at the
      ‘desperate’ comment

    Mathus:

    "Especially the types that might
attract gunfire. And screams. And vehicular homicide."

    Ota:

"This meeting cosists of people in my
line of work; arms dealers, information traders, that sort of
thing. I can’t go myself; I need to take care of some other
    affairs."

Foxtrot says to the GMs: Just trying to get around the problem of "I
really should avoid these bountied people at all cost" situation :P

    Ota:

"There is a ship leaving for Teemo’s
palace some time after the party; play your cards right, I can see
to it that you leave on it, get you close to Teemo."

    • Mathus raises an eyebrow at that.

    Ota:

’You get rid of Teemo… I can see to it
that you get that reward money he placed on your heads."

    Mathus:

"Maybe nip everything in the bud? How
vulnerable are hutts to blaster fire?"

    • Mathus glances at the others.

    Taliq:

"Well you’re right about us being able
to handle ourselves. Wrong about us being desperate."

    Taliq:

    "But your plan has merit."

    Ota:

"They die hard… but it can be done…"

    Taliq:

"But how do we know this isn’t an
elaborate plan for you to hand us over to Teemo and claim
    aforementioned bounty for yourself?"

    Mathus:

"Maybe we can lure him under a
    wrecking ball…?"

    • Vale blinks.

Taliq: (( Or drop a piano on his head? XD ))

    Ota:

    • Ota scoffs at Taliq

    Vale:

    "You’re alright, kid."

    Ota:

"Please. My reputation is on the line; I
did that, I’d be out of business."

    Vale:

"So we do it careful, like.

Mathus: (( Was that to Mathus, Vale? ))

    • Taliq nods

  • Mathus ponders, and nods.

  • Vale: (( Outloud musings/joining in on
convo, not to anyone in specific ))

    Ota:

"Here’s the trick; Piddock is working
with Teemo. You want his help, you have to convince him business
with the hutt is a bad idea."

Taliq: (( No problem, ill just make some
    negotiate checks :3 ))

    Jshock-GM: (( ack, I fucked that up royal; ))

    Mathus: (( Huh? ))

    Jshock-GM:

Let me retype that last statement

    Taliq: (( lol ))

    Mathus: (( Aw… ))

    Ota:

    "Piddock’s rival, Dimmock is working
with Teemo; he’s the one delivering the goods. You want Dimmock’s
help, you have to convince him business with the hutt is a bad
    idea."

    Jshock-GM: (( that’s better ))

    • Mathus raises an eyebrow, steeples his
      fingers, glances at his compatriots.

    Mathus:

"…And why do you want Dimmock not
    working with Teemo?"

Jshock-GM: (( So, to reiterate; piddock is
holding the party, Dimmock is delivering goods to Teemo’s palace ))

    Taliq: (( oic ))

    • Mathus glances back at Ota.

    Ota:

    ‘Well, that’s my business… nothing
that concerns you. Suffice it to say I have some credits to make
    if their business falls through."

    • Mathus glances at his companions.

    Mathus:

"…Mind if I show him those
    recordings?"

    Ota:

    "Recordings?"

    Jaana Raeth:

"Its information. Maybe he can buy
    them…"

    • Taliq nods at Jaana

    Mathus:

"I’m sure it would count in our pay
for completing this. And it would make it easier…"

    Ota:

    "Hmm, let me see…"

    • Mathus pulls out his datapad, plays the two
recordings he stole from Drommb’s computer.

    Mathus:

"Two recordings of Drommb talking to
Thweek. We grabbed these from his computer."

    Mathus:

"Question is, who’s this Sivor and
    what happened to him?"

    Ota:

    "…interesting. You keep those. Doesn’t
mean much to me, but ti might help sway Dimmock if you showed him."

    Ota:

’I have no idea who Sivor is."

    Mathus:

"Perhaps we should find out. I don’t
know if Dimmock would accept just the recordings as proof."

    Ota:

    "Thweek… Teemo’s right hand man. He’s
    still in town somewhere…"

    Mathus:

"He was in this bar a few nights
    ago."

    Mathus:

"We’re a bit wary of coming here.
Knowing our luck, he probably has this room bugged."

    Ota:

’Yeah, he hired some local mercs, sent
them with some trandoshan out into the wastes…"

    Mathus:

    "We killed them."

    Mathus:

"Well, one escaped. Rest were ate…"

    Ota:

    • Ota smirks

    Ota:

"Don’t worry about bugs. This room is
    clean. Saw to it myself."

    • Mathus nods.

    Ota:

’You’re joking about eating them, of
    course."

    Mathus:

"They tasted good with a little
    mustard."

    • Mathus shrugs.

    Mathus:

"But nah, apparently they were waiting
in a cave that was home to some… giant creature."

    • Taliq glances sideways at Mathus

  • Vale says in a knowing fashion, "Apparently
    he’s from Tatooine.

  • Taliq grins

  • Mathus:

    "Apparently more people should be."

    Mathus:

"Really, what kind of idiot doesn’t
install ignition locks in a dozer…"

    • Mathus rolls his eyes.

    Ota:

    "…Right. So, here’s what i know about
Piddock; he was recently working for Teemo, but something caused
him to call off the deal. That’s why Teemo’s sided with Dimmock."

    • Mathus nods.

    Ota:

"You want to sway Dimmock? Finding out
what caused Piddock to call it off could go a long way."

    Taliq:

"Don’t worry. Swaying nobles is our
    speciality…"

    Ota:

    "That’s what I’m afraid of…"

    • Taliq stifles a grin

    Mathus:

"So… are we allowed to take guns in
    there?"

    Mathus:

"Or is everyone going to hide a
    holdout blaster in their pants?"

    Taliq:

"We can deal with the details en route
    to Geonosis."

    Taliq:

"Thank you for the information, Ota.
We’ll see what we can do."

    Ota:

"To the party? Bad idea. Geonosians are
paranoid bugs, You could maybe bring sidearms, but anything
heavier and you won’t even get through the door."

    Mathus:

    "So… shock gloves and holdout
    blasters."

    Mathus:

    "What about vibroaxes?"

    • Mathus glances at the wookie.

    Ota:

    • Ota shakes his head

    Ota:

"Shock gloves and vibroweapons are a no."

    • Mathus frowns.

    Mathus:

    "No shock gloves either?!"

    • Mathus seems disappointed.

    Mathus:

"They’ll let in holdout blasters but
    not shock gloves…"

    Taliq:

"Our weapons will be sharp clothing
    and winning smiles, Mathus."

    Mathus:

    "And heavy equipment."

    Ota:

"I know you’ve never been to a formal
party, so I’ll let that one go."

    Vale:

"What about me? I’ve had dealings with
nobles in the past. I could be of help to you lot. FOr the right
    price of course."

    Taliq:

    "Again… he’s from Tatooine."

    Nyn:

"I was going to sak about that, Vale…"

    • Mathus glances at Vale.

    Mathus:

    "Even cut, same as usual?"

    Nyn:

"Can you go with them, for me?"

    Vale:

"Even? I’m not the one with the
bounty, mate. I need hazard pay."

    Nyn:

"I we Ota a lot; he’s been a big help to
the revolution. And these people need your help."

    Nyn:

    • Nyn gets bug chubba hound eyes

    Vale:

"Fine, you lot took me in, so yeah,
    I’ll go."

    Vale: (( XD ))

    Mathus:

    "Ten thousand credits… sounds like
    enough hazard pay."

    Ota:

"You’ll all need a cover story."

    Vale:

"We’re your enjoys right, jimmy us up
    some fake IDs

    Vale:

    *envoys

    Ota:

"All part of the plan; you still need a
good reason to be there, though. They got my name, but it’s not
clear they know what i do."

    Taliq:

"So for our purpose what is it that
    you "do"?"

    Ota:

"I’m not sure. Arms dealers, maybe? You
all look pretty rough, and Piddock deals in guns…"

    Taliq:

    "I can talk about guns"

    Mathus:

    "I can tweak guns."

    Vale:

"I can hold them and look dashing
    while doing it?"

    Jaana Raeth:

"Arms dealers gives us an excuse to
    have heavier blasters or rifles."

    Ota:

"Of course, you’d need to actually buy
ome guns at some point; Piddock deals in quantity. I’m not sure
you have that kind of capital."

    Vale:

"I also know the best places to sell
    them, at the right time."

    Vale: (( forgot I’m a smuggler for a sedcond
    there ))

Vale: (( well my class is ))

    Mathus:

"What if there’s something cheaper and
    more specialized?"

    Vale:

"Yeah I’ll be the pilot in this story.
    Shipping and what not."

    Ota:

"You’ve never been to one of these…
you don’t go to a formal addair rigged out in full body armor and
    rifles. It’s just not done."

    • Vale taps his nose and nods.

    Nyn:

    • Nyn coughs
    • Mathus blinks.

    Mathus:

    "I, uh…"

    • Mathus looks down.

    Mathus:

"These are the only clothes I have."

    Ota:

"The revolution does need some arms…
if you would be willing to negotiate on my behalf, I could provide
the capital to buy the samples he will offer."

    Vale:

    "Clearly we need fancy clothes."

    • Mathus hmms.

  • Vale looks to be warming to this idea a
    little too much

  • Mathus:

"Sounds reasonable to me. And the
revolution should have quite a few credits coming in…"

    Taliq:

    "That’s an excellent idea."

    Ota:

"Again… all part of the plan. I’ll see
to it you have appropriate clothes."

Jshock-GM: (( whoops, that was supposed to
be nyn offering up the money ))

    Taliq:

"The best lies are true lies. If we’re
buying weapons for our friends on Ryloth, it makes our cover
    simpler…"

    Vale:

"So we’re arms dealers, at the behest
of someone looking to pay some big creds to outfit, which is why
we aren’t packing any stock of our own"

    • Vale looks at Taliq, "Yeah, that."

    Ota:

    "You’ll need this."

Taliq: (( Its dangerous to go alone? ))

    Ota:

    • Ota pulls a small electronic device out of his
      jacket

Vale: (( Hey gang what would be better,
charm or Deceit, for what we’re coming into? Ill have Vale prepare on
route, practice in the mirror Sims style (got xp to burn and they are
    class skills) ))

Mathus: (( Not sure myself, ask Jshock? We
haven’t done social challenges yet. ))

    Jshock-GM: (( both ))

Vale: (( I have enough XP to raise themn
both to 2, but that’s it all gone. ))

Mathus: (( Go for it? ))

Vale: (( which Im okay with, but it means
I’m pretty much pilot and face now. ))

    Ota:

"This will provide an encrypted signal
that will get you through their security cordon. Make your way to
Gogum hive, a small city to the north of the planet. They will
take care of you from there."

    • Mathus looks at the device. Does he
recognize what it is and how to install it?

Taliq: (( I should probably get to bed soon
    ))

Taliq: (( Though I know its totally my bad
    that we started late
    ))

    Ota:

"The next morning, you should travel to
Trella hive and meet with Dimmock. Once you are there, use the
communicator, it should patch you through to me, and we can go
    from there."

    Vale:

    "Sounds like a plan."

    Taliq:

    "You’ve really thought this through,
    Ota. Nice work."

    Ota:

"Did you have any questions? I know this
is a lot of information out on the table…"

    • Mathus looks at the device. Does he
recognize what it is and how to install it?

    Jshock-GM: (( it’s a secure communicator,
    Mathus. ))

Mathus: (( And that should get us through a
    security cordon? ))

    Jshock-GM: (( it doubles as a dongle. ))

    Mathus: (( Ah. ))

    Mathus:

"What are the odds of bounty hunters
    trying to capture us there?"

    Taliq:

    "No, that seems pretty
    comprehensive…"

    Mathus:

"Or blowing our cover to tempt the
    Geonesians into capturing us themselves?"

    Taliq:

"Low so long as they don’t know we’ll
    be there."

    Ota:

"Slim to none. Piddock has his palace
locked down by his personal guard; no one would dare try somethig
    like that."

    Vale:

"Ah but is 50000 creds worth much to
    Piddock?"

    Ota:

‘Geonosians have a honor code. Teeemo’s
    money is worthless to Piddock."

    Vale:

    "Sounds fair to me."

    Taliq:

    "He’s a business man, not a bounty
    hunter."

    Mathus:

    "Honor code?"

    • Mathus raises an eyebrow.

    Mathus:

"Some more info on the honor code
might be useful, just so we don’t accidently break it."

    Ota:

‘That too. If he reneged now, he’s lose
all his business – no one would deal with him."

Xie: (( OK I gotta pass out, big day at work
    tomorrow ))

    • Mathus nods.

Xie: (( Good with the plan though, sounds
    great _ ))

    Mathus:

    "Good to know."

    Xie:

    Hahahahaha

    Xie:

    that’s not kate beckensdale

    Ota:

"You are outsiders. Their code doesn’t
    apply too tightly to you."

Vale: (( God damn it, I laughed and went
into a coughing fit like an old man ))

    Jaana Raeth: ((
you get the idea anyway ))

    Jshock-GM: (( aag, it’s 12:30 already; I’m
going to start nodding off myself ))

    Xie:

    That was very roflworthy

Mathus: (( Heh, yeah, I’m out of questions.
    Sounds good. ))

    Vale:

    Vale does too

    Vale:

    Best disguise

    Xie:

    He looks different

Jshock-GM: (( if you come up with any more
before next session, post them on the forum, Ota will answer them ))

    Vale: (( Alrighty then ))

    Xie:

    Sweet _

    Xie:

    It is a good plan

    Xie:

Let’s see how we can mess it up… XD

    Xie:

    ’night all

    Hahah there you go

you continue to hash out the details; the camera pans, as the
    Krayt Fang flies towards geonosis…

    Vale:

J, do I just update on teh wiki
    characters mny spent xp?

    Xie:

    XD

    Xie is disconnected.

    Vale:

    Tygaran is disconnected.

    Jshock-GM:

You should be able to edit the sheet,
at least; the way I have the dice images set up is a bit confusing
though. Go ahead and change the numbers, I’ll come back and change
    the symbols tomorrow

    Vale:

Just upgrading Deceit and Charm to
both level 2. 10 XP from that lot I never spent and 10 for the one
that Mathus said from last week, earlier.

    Vale:

    Okay then!

    Vale:

    Well goodnight/afternoon
